Over recent months, the Trust has been delivering an ambitious and growing programme of work across the Cotswolds. With our Big Give campaign now live, doubling every donation, your support can help us go even further.
From river enhancement on the Evenlode at Blenheim Estate, to natural flood management interventions in the Upper Windrush, we are restoring our watercourses. Alongside this, we have been supporting floodplain meadow restoration and continuing vital work to revive grayling and roach populations.
We are also expanding opportunities for citizen science and volunteering across the Infant Thames, helping more people connect directly with their local rivers. We have developed a spatial database of projects across the Windrush, enabling us to better understand, coordinate, and showcase the scale of work underway.
The Trust is delighted to welcome Dr Ellie Pryor as our new Project Officer. Her expertise strengthens our ability to deliver an increasingly ambitious programme and to turn plans into action on the ground.
Our goal is simple: to scale up restoration, increase delivery, and bring more landowners and communities with us. None of this can, or should, be done in isolation. Collaboration sits at the heart of everything we do, and it is through partnership that we can achieve lasting change.
Looking ahead, plans are already taking shape for an exciting pipeline of river restoration projects across the Cotswolds catchment this year, building on the momentum we have worked hard to create.
None of this work is possible without funding. Having made the decision not to accept funding from Thames Water, we are focused on securing support from sources that align with our values, particularly through private donations and community backing.

From 22nd-29th April, your support can go twice as far, via the Big Give Earth Raise crowdfunder; every £1 donated will be donated. If you want to see healthier rivers for both nature and communities, then please donate now.
With your support, we can expand our restoration work, provide free advice and site visits to landowners, invest in vital monitoring kits and equipment, and grow our public engagement. Together, we can deliver lasting, meaningful change for our rivers and the landscapes they sustain.
